Geng Qiang's design was born out of the realization that traditional smart TVs presented operational challenges, particularly for the elderly and children. The rapid pace of smart TV updates and the associated costs of hardware upgrades also led to a significant waste of resources. The 65X5 ECHO, with its remote voice technology, addresses these issues, offering a more intuitive and sustainable solution.
What sets the 65X5 ECHO apart is its unique artificial intelligence capabilities. The TV features a 4-array microphone linear arrangement that enables remote recognition of human voices. Users can wake up the AI services by simply shouting "BaoFeng big ears", which then captures personal interests and pushes video content and personalized life services based on these interests. The need for a remote control is eliminated, as the TV responds to voice commands.
The 65X5 ECHO is not just technologically advanced but also aesthetically pleasing. The all-metal slim body measures only 9.5 mm. The TV's front frame employs stainless steel laser seamless welding technology, achieving a super-narrow frame design while meeting strength requirements. The backplane uses an aluminum-plastic brushed design to enhance product strength and weather resistance. The base undergoes a two-color oxidation process followed by sandblasting and paint treatment, giving the product a delicate luster.
The 65X5 ECHO is also designed for easy hardware upgrades. The main chip system can be plugged in and pulled out, making hardware upgrades a breeze. The product's sound unit uses an "echo wall" design to improve sound effects, further enhancing the user experience.
This groundbreaking design was developed in Shenzhen between December 2016 and April 2017 and was exhibited in Beijing in May 2017. The 65X5 ECHO represents a significant advancement in the field of smart TV technology, offering a user-friendly, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing solution that caters to all demographics.
In recognition of its innovative design and significant contribution to the field of home appliances, the 65X5 ECHO was awarded the Golden A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2018. This award is granted to outstanding creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
